Maria Pohl
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Maria is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Demography at the University of Oxford. Her research explores family structures, population dynamics, and fertility change, with a focus on comparative analyses.
She is a team member on Dr Ewa Batyra’s ERC Starting Grant project, "Diverging patterns of reproductive behaviour within countries across the globe (DIVREP)."
Before joining Oxford, Maria earned her PhD in Demography from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics. She also completed training through the European Doctoral School of Demography.
Research interests: Family demography, fertility, social inequality, comparative studies
